  Trying to match the radius of the rear window trim corner can be a problem on 2nd gen Chargers. Here is a handy gauge for that rounded corner on the bottom.  As body filler will not stick to plastic I just pressed filler into the gap area then slid this into place and let the filler harden to the lid then popped it off.

That's the issue I'm having now! Nice  What kind of filler did you use? I reading duraglass or all metal first (over repair if welded) and then regular body filler on top.

If you get new metal welded in properly then no duraglass needed. It just gets in the way. Use plastic filler.

USG All Metal or Evercoat Metal to Metal are what I'm using. WARNING: Check the product before leaving the store! Run a paint stick all the way to the bottom of the can, it should be VERY smooth and creamy, This stuff should be like mayonnaise, if not it's gone bad. Be sure to really press it onto/into the surface for tight adhesion.

Rodgerdodger unfortunately my welding skills are still lacking a bit   so some filler (not much though) will be needed. So looks like I'm going with All Metal for the welded seams then Rage Gold plastic filler to top it all off. How about the back of the weld? Whats the best stuff to protect the repair from behind /under?  Straight por15 or is there something better?

One of the best tools in auto body is a rubber hose.  Get several sizes.  You can bend them into any shape and can use them as a filler stop like the lid or you can use them to sand intricate shapes and curves by wrapping self stick sandpaper around it.

I like Rage Extreme better, it's more "creamy" and spreads finer. I'd use Eastwood Rust Encapsulator behind repairs.
