one about Ipads

for some reason I'm confused about the last Ipads on market

I know the old ones are Ipad, Ipad 2... then becomes on a confusion when appears the Ipad 3 ? or Ipad Retina ? or Ipad 4G ? Or Ipad 4 ?

I'm interested on get the Ipad Retina 32 Gb ( or maybe 64 ) WiFi + Cell ( unbloqued of course ) but specs stated by sellers is confusing about Ipad 3, Ipad 4 or whatever.

Somebody told me the Ipad 3 was a release didn't last longed and was allmost inmediatly substituted by the Ipad Retina ? but really some sellers makes this confusing...

I just purchased an Ipad3.  I had the same question.   The way I understand it is:

The latest version (IPad and Iphone) has no number.  When the next generation comes out the previous one gets a number.

That's a great resource for differentiating generation vs. feature, but, as far as accurate nomenclature, there will not be an Iphone5 until the next generation Iphone is released.   http://store.apple.com/us

Btw,  http://store.apple.com/us sells refurbs.  They carry the same warranty as new.  I am very happy with my refurb Ipad3 (64/Wi-Fi/Verizon).

I wouldn't care to get a refurbished unit, but have to wait to travel to Spain to get any kind of IOS device, and use the Credit Card on shop.

Europe IOS devices prices are around 15% more expensive than USA, but will be allways CHEAPER ( around 70% cheaper ) than buying here in with all the economical problems and money exchange problems in Venezuela

Plus living outside Spain, mostly sure I'll get the Taxes refund once I leave Spain

LOL, you're right.  Interesting, that it was not the case with the Ipad.

In my case is due the job I'm begining to need it. Lot of digital audio mixers have now the capability to be remote controled ( WiFi ) from the Ipad creating a net with a router conected to the mixer.

Ipad is THE STANDARD tablet to make that.
