What does a paint job like that set a guy back??

I keep saying I could never afford paint, but I keep dumping thousands into the car to make it faster, haha

Yeah, I'm also curious what final bill was? LEON.

Long day, but was able to remove the old incorrect 8-1/4 rear end and prep the 8-3/4 Sure Grip to go back in! :2thumbs:   of course the brake line kit doesn't fit, so I'll have to check to see if I clicked on the wrong part or what happened.  need to take off the leaf springs (almost new from previous owner) clean them up and get new bushings!  Hope to have the new (old) axle back in the car next week!!!  then more parts can be added.  with the warm weather we have been able to park the car in the sun and let the paint really bake, so it should be speeding up the cure time a little!  few more weeks and we'll add the bumble bee stripe and the 440 on the hood decals!  :coolgleamA:

Is the line kit wrong in the area where the two lines tee? Is the rear a 70 model or an earlier one? 68 and 69 have the tee in a different location than a 70 . If it is an earlier one you will need the lines and the rear brake hose for that year.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Yes, they don't line up at the tee.   The rear is out of a 69 coronet, and I plugged in a 69 b dody 8-3/4 rear when ordering them... ???
I assumed the 8-3/4 would be the same.    :shruggy:

The painter will be painting the black call outs over as well as extending them to the windshield as they were for 1970!!  :drool5:

I'm confused. Isn't your car a 70 to begin with ?

yes, but the previous owner only painted the hood and not up to the windshield.... it wasn't very clean, so we had the black repainted gloss and up to the windshield as it should be for 70!  :2thumbs:

I used high temp as I had extra from painting other parts, no other reason... But it does live between twin 2-1/2" pipes!!!
