It's been a while since I've been able to give an update... Life has been busy!  We added the decals, and after weeks of playing with the windows I finally have them close.   Took it out today for its first bath and shot a little video!

Enjoy!

Started the backseat install!  everything has gone smoothly, but need to pick up the proper door panel clips and add the plastic layer before calling it complete.  almost done with dash, and Christmas came a little early as we ordered rims!  we had 14x6 magnums (love them and will keep them), but found these in a 15x7 front and 15x8 rears.  plan to throw 235s on front and 255s on rear.    :2thumbs:

The car looks amazing!  You guys are really pouring your souls into that thing, gotta love it!   :2thumbs:

235 up front huh?  You know, a 275/60 on the back would complement that real nice.   :yesnod:

This is all looking vaguely familiar...  :drool5:  :2thumbs:

Coming along very nicely, Matt.  :yesnod:
I have 235/60's on the front of my '68 as well.

Thanks guys!  As everyone with else on this forum, this car is our baby and even when we say "we're just going to throw on this or that part"... It turns Into scrubbing, sanding, painting, or polishing for hours before a wrench enters the picture!!!  At this point it is amazing to watch the videos and review the pictures from 2-1/2 years ago... It's really not the same car!!!  Can't wait to burn the old tires off before adding the new!  :yesnod: :icon_smile_big:

Bill- is was old threads where you mention the 235s that got me thinking they would be good!
Hopefully next week we will have all four mounted and start adjusting ride height with new steering parts!!!

Happy Friday night!!!

Looking really good! Nice choice on the wheels. The chrome with that green is a sweet combo.   :2thumbs:  Are you going with raised white letters on the tires?

The rims look even better than we expected!  Yes, I'm ordering white lettered tires today with hopes of a buddy mounting them by weeks end!  :2thumbs:

Side story.... We have a rebuilt 440 out of a mid 70s truck, but added a lot of nice goodies so it sounds and revs hard.  When I bought he car the guy said he had the original block 383 at a shop which came with car, so picked up car and block and stored the block at a buddy's shop for the last 2 years.  Finally made it over to pick up the block yesterday and now that I researched and know what to look for, this block doesn't match the car... BUT... It's a real 69 HP 440 block!!!   :coolgleamA:   Looks like a rod decided to jump out the back, so we're not sure if we'll rebuild in future or make one hell of a coffee table for the game room!!   :scratchchin:

Nothing like the smell of new rubber in the morning!  :smilielol:
tires will be mounted tomorrow night at buddies shop... received the finsl emblem for the grille, and I'm so close to installing the front seats! I need to finish adjusting the carpet and locate the seat belt holes (and order rear seats belts), but it looks like a real car in the garage!!   :coolgleamA:

Met my buddy at his shop after work and helped mount the new sneakers!   Very happy with how they look, they even brought a tear to my wife's eyes as I put them on the car.  Feels like a whole new ride!   :coolgleamA:   thought I may need spacers, but the rears fit like a glove!

It has been a very LONG winter filled with the usual ups and downs..... Thankfully we made it through and work has been pretty steady on the Charger.  It is hard to believe that we are over 3 years into our restoration, but feel as though we are SO close to getting on the road.  Since the warmer weather we have been able to add much needed disc brakes as well as start on the interior.  we will have a few missing parts by the time we are road worthy, but the basic needs are in hand.  I finished the seat belts, brakes, seats, lights, and full rear area.   here's a quick video of it's first trip out of the garage since last Fall!   surprisingly it fired right up and was running smoothly. :2thumbs: :coolgleamA:
