Or maybe it protects us.

Auto manufacturers have been toying with this for about 3 years now. They have been trying to develop an Electrical system using solenoids.

The extreme heat however tend to be a problem for them. I can just see regular oil changes on these valve now..

Well I seem to get overjoyed these days to see a new technology arrive in the automotive industry that has nothing to do with stuffing batteries and electric drive motors into cars, because the last thing I want is my car to drive like an electric forklift.... BZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz
