tucker box was where you kept your food ,dog sat on top to stop thieves.as to the devils  I've got the devils "ark" about an hours drive from me in the "barrington tops" world heritage wilderness  .they say another 10 years and they will be gone :'(  facial tumor is wiping them out in Tass . we've got a couple of hundred  "clean" half grown ones at the "ark" to breed and restart the species "sometime" in the future
