Just magic!   :2thumbs:

Yeah I was really happy w/ the way it turned out.  It seemingly took forever - body work went on and on and on.  But well worth it in the end.

I have more, but I think most everything is shown.  It was a little tough because the car was in part sun and part shade, and the phone is well, the phone.  These photos don't exactly do the car justice, but it's all I got right now.

When I get some better ones, I'll post them up.

When a car looks that nice in the wrong light with a questionable camera it tells the story :2thumbs:

Tell me about it but some things just can't be rushed.  A job worth doing.........and all that.  But at one stage I was thinking, my life's running out and I'm nowhere near driving it, when's it going to happen. Good news.........I'm still here and I've been doing plenty of driving.  :icon_smile_big:

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

I'll post more when I can... got the trip up to Oregon in the morning.

.... nothing more sinister than the lines on a Charger... especially in black IMO.

Just beautiful!
I know exactly where you're coming from and I couldn't agree more.   :2thumbs:
p/s I know the car is parked in a handy capped spot but it should be obvious to all that there is plenty missing.

don't worry Fred I don't know too many disabled people that visit elko  Paul Norris except one

It's been a while since I updated this thread.  The engine and transmission have been rebuilt and are sitting on the K-member.  Plating and powder coating were done a while ago.  We've been accumulating a lot of parts and pieces we needed over the past couple of months and thanks to a tip I got on this site I was able to catch the 30% off sale from Year One over Black Friday weekend.  Those parts should be in next week.  I've got another (much smaller) round of parts coming from PG Classics.

Paint and body are basically done, undercoating is done - fuel lines, brake lines, pedal assemblies, front upper control arms, rear leaf spring perches, power brake booster, side marker lights, and auto floor shifter assy and linkage all installed.

I'll post a few photos

xs29bb1

Here are a couple of the engine and transmission sitting on the K-member.  (Yes those valve covers will be replaced)  Also, a pic of my powder coated seat frames.

Here's a couple of the floor shifter and brake pedal assy.

The drive train will be going in soon, and after that we're going to send the car out to get the top and headliner installed.

I think things will start to pick up over the next month or so.  I'm hoping significant progress can be made between now and the end of January.

 :2thumbs: Looks pretty good

I've got a few updates on the Resto - I'll post some pics in a few....

xs29bb1

For whatever reason, the uploads aren't working.  It's saying it's taking too long to save the images, but it's only giving it 3-4 seconds, so I'm not sure what's going on.

xs29bb1

Here's a few of the steering column...

xs29bb1

OK, I obviously got my issue resolved.  Here's the rest for the steering column:

Here's the rear end all ready to be put on the car:

bull

Nice! People like to whine about black 2nd gens but I think there's nothing on four wheels that looks better. :2thumbs:

xs29bb1

Thanks Bull - A Black on Black 68 R/T has been my dream car for 25+ years.  Finding an unrestored triple black R/T such that I'm going to know every single thing done to it was too much for me to pass up last year.

I'm sure hoping it's finished by Spring.....

Mytur Binsdirti

Very nice. With the body done, now comes all the fun stuff.  :2thumbs:

Ghoste

Who whines about black 2nd gens?  The GL guys are the only ones I've seen put up with abuse.
