Just wondering what everyone's opinions on Bronze 1968-1970 Chargers are ? Is it a popular colour ?

I've been looking for a black Charger for a while and can't seem to find one, or one suitable(I'm in England)

So a 69 I know of may be coming up for sale which is the right condition and spec and it is Bronze with tan interior

Also if I were to paint it black do you think Black exterior would work with tan interior ? Anyone got any pics ? I've only seen black Chargers with black or white interiors I think

Thanks

Ghoste

I have a bronze 67 with white interior and I wasn't crazy about the color at first.  Now I like it a lot.  On the 2nd gens, I always did kind of like it.

I think Black with a tan gut is awesome.... :2thumbs:

For 1969 I really like T7 (Dark Bronze) :drool5:  I don't like T3 (light bronze).  However, T5 (medium copper) wouldn't get kicked out of my garage as long as it had the "right stuff" :Twocents: :Twocents:

[Edit]: I must agree with Charge69 below. T5 Copper with a white roof and white interior would make an awesome color combo. :yesnod:

I had a good friend that bought a 1969 Charger,383-4bbl, auto, loaded used in the fall of 1970 that was T-5 bronze with a white vinyl top and white interior that was a gorgeous car! Bronze is not my favorite color but, I gotta say, my friend's T-5 Charger was a stunning car!

If mine was that color, I certainly wouldn't complain!

Two Bronzes in '69, T3 light bronze and T7 dark bronze.

The T7 Bronze when it's fresh is pretty nice....

Also, a T3 Bronze, the lighter version.

Agreed on T7 when fresh. In the pics I posted, that's the car pulled from the barn after sitting for decades. On the info sheet, it stated that all that was done was to clean/buff the paint. It looks to really shine, compared to the other pics from when it was pulled from the barn.   :scratchchin:

Here's a pic from the show:

And from the eBay auction:

The Bronze colors aren't the most popular but it isn't a horrible color either. I am not a big fan of Bronze with tan top/interior and I don't think that combo ages well. The barn find car is a perfect example. It just looks cruddy regardless of the buff job. I personally perfer the color when it comes with white interior or black top/interior. Many of the photos in this thread show beautiful cars.  :yesnod:

I kinda like bronze with tan but not as much as black with tan.  I'd still do that to mine if it wasn't such a pain to keep clean.  I'm lazy so I'm sticking with white.  All it needs is a rinse.   :2thumbs:

My one Charger was originally T7, but someone painted it orange  :shruggy:

When I was looking for Chargers again in 2010, 20 years after my first, I was really only looking for T7 or T5 cars. It seems Blue and Green Chargers are a dime a dozen, with red popular, presumably for the resale red factor?  :Twocents:

Anyways, Bronze, Copper, and silver, are my favorite colors on Chargers.   :2thumbs:

This color looks alot like MM1 Bronze from '68.   :scratchchin:

Monitors sometimes play tricks...but the point is that the bronzes were different from '68 to '69.

Neal_J

T3 (light bronze metallic) looks like gold and is 100% awesome.

No bias here...

Agreed on that, it could be the monitor, or the 1968 Bronze. The other 1969 I posted is definitely original T7, as I saw the car at Carlisle a couple years ago. It looked much better than the barn pics.

I like them, regardless of what shade they are, I even like the Greens, only don't care for yellow.
too many to list!

My 69 is a T5 Copper and it's suppose to have a Tan top and interior. I got it with a new all black legendary interior. I've been thinking about selling it off (the new interior) and getting the Tan stuff so I'm at a cross roads...

I didn't like the T5 but it has grown on me  ;)

I was thinking of changing my '69 from F3 to T5, but I'm not sure about how it would look with a black interior.

My "other" '69 is T5 Copper with tan vinyl top and tan interior.

That's the way it'll be when I rebuild it.
