Looks like a beautiful car, what is wrong with it?  Only went to 59k.  Is it market corrections continuing to fall or another cycle of trending popularity related to lowing pricing?  Regardless, I like it and if it could be bought near where it is bid to, I would consider that a deal of the day, cool car (in pictures).

If it was a 69 it would have brought double the price.  :D  ;)

The car looks nice and the seller has 100 percent feedback too.  Not sure why it brought so little.

Yeah, should have gone higher. Older resto, needs some work.  Auto and 8/3/4 hurt it a bit, color not the best, but still worth more than bid on.  I am sure the reserve is much higher, maybe 100K for sure.  I hope this is not another leg down in car prices, but doubt it, prices have stabilized and seemed to have gotten better in all the auctions I have seen including eBay.   He is in CA, I gotta call him later when they get up, see what the deal is, maybe something I am not seeing, find out what his price is and post the info.  :yesnod:

I don't think its an indication of prices falling, its just a low blip in the big picture.  There could be some issue with the car we can't see on the internet or the seller could be desperate to move it.  Who knows?

Just noticed, guy/place is a dealer, quick flipper, has a number of nice cars listed, but has not sold one since May 2012.  I am sure he wants good money, more than its worth, but what the hell, costs nothing to call, maybe he is desperate to move out some inventory.

Ebay is not the place to get top dollar for muscle cars right now. My 71 Hemi Challenger Convertible (clone) only got up to $33K each time I listed it. Sold it to person who saw it on ebay and contacted me later. Even so the prices are way down everywhere but Barrett-jackson prime time.

I say probably enough people haven't gotten their tax returns yet.  Wait a month, and that car will make reserve. ;)

The owner says this in the ad.......

"You are bidding a Stock Original 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. See if you can find a nicer one."

But, one didn't have to look very far as this car was listed at the same.....

One of my favorite color combo's on a '68 Charger EVER.  :drool5:

Yes, older resto, some things need a little refreshening or going over. Also noticed small things like painted over body plugs & other little things, might have held the price back if the quality of the resto was in question. Nice car though, I wouldn't mind owning it.

I do agree, the blue one by Julius IS done nicer, and is reflected in the price.

Agreed, blue one is nicer, and probably does not have rust in the trunk.

All those little things lead to other things and then you're sucked into the full blown restoration vortex. And without blinking an eye, you'll easily be facing spending another 40 large, not including your time. With that in mind, the most I can see that car going for would be 70-80 grand.

The car has been around for awhile now I saw this car probably 4 months ago on Craigslist.  In fact 4 months ago they only wanted 35k for it YES 35K for this charger!!!!!!  They couldnt sell it for 35k back then and as for Ebay a very poor indicator of prices then again Craigslist is also unless you follow up on the sellers how much they have really sold it for which I have 3 out of the 4 times I have saw cars.

When people make a bid on Ebay and see a reserve they just bid just to bid sometimes as long as they dont make the reserve they dont care its like an addiction to bid, but they feel 'safe' knowing they wont hit the reserve.
