Congrats on your "new" Charger.  I love both generation Chargers, but as mentioned before... first-gens are expensive to restore.  If you chip away a little here and a little there then it won't seem too bad!  haha.  Black or Silver are my favorites on the 66 and 67s.  Here's my '66

"CornDog"

Nice 66 charger :drool5: :popcrn: I think if you do every thing perfect it will be expensive.  The engine i will be restoring my self so maybe that will save some cost? The paint will be the most expensive part of the car. Originale the car was silver with a red interior so maybe i will go with that. But Black and a Red interior looks also cool!

That "project" car is in excellent shape. What are the chances of finding or obtaining a 69 Charger in the Netherlands? The price is good especially if finding a 69 will be very difficult. What is the market for these cars like in the Netherlands? If it is really good for the one your friend has, it might be worth restoring this car and, if you find the 69 later, selling this car. Or, you might it grows on you. The 1st generation Chargers are really unique and cool.

Well this project has some rust on the back fenders, but overal it is rust free floors are solid! So that makes this car easier to restore  The chances of finding a 69 charger in the Netherlands is very rare! About 10% If this was a 69 charger then the price would be 8.000 a 10.000 euro's! Depents if it is a 318 car or a bigblock car 383/440 They sell high here :o I will be better off to buy a project 69 in the us and pay for the shipping. Then to find a project here :o There is a 69 forsale now that one cost 31.000 euro's I think it is way to high for that car! It is not a real RT! :o I was thinking to drive this one for a well and then sell it do get a 69. But knowing me i think i would not do that because this is my first mopar! ( 66 Charger :drool5:) So that would be hard to do then i think :brickwall:

To give a example this is a project 69 charger that was sold for 9.850.00 euros I wantend this one by the way but i was to late for it. :brickwall: New floors did go with the car.

And this car is forsale right now for 31.000 euro's A General Lee. I think this was a 318 car. And made in to a R/T with a 440

leave the trim on the fenders

Bryan

no don't, its a pain in ### to put on correctly, assuming the person before you took it off without bending it, and it costs more to polish and plate it correctly than its worht

Yep it is very hard to get it right then. Because it is saved off it don't have that problem so i'am find with it.

Good luck woth your Charger ! It is definatly a labour of love, and it's heavier on the LABOUR side of the equasion.
Because the charger was previously stripped by somone else your gonna need a few freinds online to help get things back in order.       Luckly.       Your gonna have plenty ! Nice Charger.

Where about in Holland are you ?   My mother and father are from rotterdam and volendam, still have lots of family there.

Ron

Man that is cooooooool! That you're parents live in holland!  I live near Rotterdam (The Hague) . Thank you. Yes i would be a labour of love. Well that it is been stript is not a problem i know the car for a while. And i can put i together. and my friend is willing to help me if he can. And i can always ask you guys.

Congratulations on the Charger purchase :woohoo:

As far as the trim debacle, trim can make or break a car.  If your going to put trim on, do it right and get it polished or replaced.  But, since its been shaved and you don't feel the need to put it on, I wouldn't bother.  1st gens look great both ways.  Trim isn't going to make it faster though.

Thanks! If the trim was not shaved off. I would but it back on that car. I don't bother me at all. If I look at the design of the 66 charger that Chip foose built it looks awesome with out the trim that car looks longer to :2thumbs:
