ignition switch light?

Hi! whats the meaning of this plate above the glovebox?
And why is there a hole above the ignition? should it be some sort of light to the ignition in there?

Those are only available if the car was equipped with the A01 Light Package. (this option code is for the '69-70 only) not sure what the '68 code is....

There is a Map light on the dash & an ign key light.  Looks like yours isnt optioned with the package, hence the block off plate for the map light

Thanks for the info. NOW i feel like i would want to install all those lights   . is the wiring pre-drawn or should i just forget it and leap to the next number of my to do list before season?

ALTHOUGHT for the ign key courtesy light I think you'll need an extra harness to plug the time delay relay for it, which is:
