70 voltage regulator confusion

Hi, My 70 Charger rt came with a replacement electronic regulator mounted all crooked, which I took off and found only two screws mounting holes similar to the size of a pre-69 style mechanical regulator. The 70+ style regulator doesn't look like it would have the right holes? Its not even drilled. My alt has dual field btw. I am purchasing the correct style regulator for future resto.

The voltage regulator bolts to a bracket that bolts to the firewall where your picture shows.

So Im trying to find this part, but Jim's Auto parts says my year doesn't use a bracket, mounts right to firewall. Which clearly isn't accurate..  :shruggy:

I found the bracket but I need the right bolts.

Some installations used the bracket to allow air to circulate behind the regulator, some didn't. See the link below.
