I have never used Craigslist before but recently posted a cooler i have for sale.
Today i got this reply to My post.
Looks like a scam to Me.
What do You think.
Here is the reply.

Good to hear back from you. I'm okay with the price and the condition.
Presently, I am always busy at work and do not have much time around me to make or answer calls. Moreover, I would have loved to call but our satellite server has been down in recent days which restricts our calls. I will be paying you through PayPal as it is the only Medium at which i can send Payment at the Moment.
I would appreciate if you email me with more pictures (if available) too since i won't be be able to see this in person. And if you don't have a PayPal account, It's pretty easy to set up a PayPal account at www.paypal.com  . it's just a few minutes away from signing up. it's safe and secure for both Parties and i have been using PayPal to buy and sell for years now without problems. Please get back to me with your PayPal email so i can proceed with the payment and contact the Pick up Agent who will come for the Pick up of the item.
I will need these following details so i can proceed with the payment right away

1:Your PayPal e-Mail Address
2: Home Address

As soon as you get back to me with your PayPal email, I'll proceed with full Payment. I look forward to reading from you soon.

Regards
Victoria

You just have to have a good 'scam detector' in your brain and follow some pretty common sense rules, and craigslist can be a really great tool.

Ironically, I bought my 68 from there and since I was out of state the guy thought I was a scammer - because I told him my brother would bring him a cashier's check for the agreed-on price.    I had to talk to him several times and he had to meet my brother in person before he calmed down.    Now I realize why he was so wary - dealing with anyone out of state is a huge red flag (didn't know that at the time) and taking a check instead of cash is another one.    I don't blame him one bit but at the time I was thinking 'what's the big deal?'.

Anytime they say "item" that's a dead giveaway.   That's why I always use a phone number.

Tell them sure, no problem. Them tell them you need THEIR email address to send a PayPal request for money to get paid, either no answer or if they do send it then contact PayPal and give them the address and what they are doing so PP can shut them down before they find a sucker.  All they want to do is hack your account.  Watch out for anything they  send you concerning opening a file, may be a keylogger to get your password.  Low lifes!
too many to list!

LOL
It's no plastic thingy with a lid. It's a TRUE 2 door upright cooler. Damn thing weighs a ton.
They would have to send several Guy's to pick it up.

I like playing with a-holes like that. :icon_smile_big:  I like to say I have a detective friend that ran your email and know the ip address.  Just need to get the address and then the proper action will take place....
