Look it over very well for rot and filler. The picks look like pine trees and grass, dont know where it is but it is not the desert. body work is the hardest part. The interior can be freshened up much easier than repairing the body. And, keep in mind, you will always be spending more $$ keeping it going after the sale, if anything is not right as it sits. Let the price reflect that. This guy wants your $35 grand. Make sure the car is worth that, or walk away and/or negotiate.

throw him a lower offer (not insultingly low) annd walk away, give him some time to kick it around. In this economay the car WILL still be for sale for awile because if it was actually 35k nice it would already have been taken.

35 Thousand does seem a little high.  I bought a similar car that I probably paid a little too much for. Eventually settled on 24 thousand, a very solid rust free southern California car still in original paint.  I initially walked away, got 30 miles down the road and turned back.  The time to buy these cars is when you see them.  I knew I would never find a better car, and at 50 years old I know time is not on my side for having one and enjoying it.  Life is short, forge ahead and don't look back.

Keep us posted.

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

good deal man!!!  Thanks for the info how much you paid for it now I can put in my 'tracker' for prices to negotiate with people.  I have a 1 year runnign tab on sold 68 chargers for one year on a exel sheet!!!  YUP I been keeping track of it.  Thats how I base it on my 'opinion' on the prices on cars on one year!
