Hello,
I would like to change the ignition of my 1971 440 HP. It is for a 1971 SUPER BEE that i'm actually buying.
I would like to use MSD parts but I don't know what to choose ?
The car gets actually electronic MOPAR ignition with orange box and ballast resistor. The coil is the big (and awfiull) accell.

The engine is equiped with:
a HOLLEY 850 CFM
an EDELBROCK Torker II intake
TRW forged pistons
Manual 883 gearbox
Short rearend (3.73)

Who can give me some advices on the MSD parts to order (complete kit ?)
Thank you in advance, it's difficult in France to get reliable informations on technical fields. ::)

I wouldn't change the distributor if its in good working order. However, I am not a fan of the mopar orange boxes. I've had 2 go out on me and left me stranded in less than a year. I swapped over to a MSD 6AL ignition box a few years back and have never had a single problem. And have better starts and reliability with it. The MSD box will wire up to the mopar distributor with minor splicing. MSD has the new digital ignition boxes that are probably better than the 6AL that I have so maybe go with one of those. I'd also go with the MSD blaster 2 coils.

You can also go with a MSD distributor that does not require an ignition box. I haven't used one so I can't comment on how well they work but it is another option.
