Not sure who is really into Nascar here. What the hell is Kyle Busch thinking. Pull your head out of your ass. And I am giving much respect to Carl Edwards. Not sure what Nascar was thinking on that one. He stuck up for himself when he knew nascar was wrong. . . Way to go Ryan Newman for driving the car like you stole it. Even with the entire back bumper section missing. . . Give'em hell this season Ryan.

I tell ya.  That Hamlin seems good, although he did get help.  And how about Martin saving that car. :o :o :o

I liked Tony Stewart's comment at the end.  "Someone else is gonna get killed if we keep doing what we're doing."
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

I thought it was a good race for a non points race. Looks like Kyle is following in his brothers footsteps.
Last week Bill Davis racing was found guilty of giving Dodge developed race technology to Toyota. He was ordered to pay Dodge 6.5 million for breech of contract. This is a throw away season for Davis. their using up all their dodge equipment since they have signed with Toyota for 2007.
Anyone see Mikey's interview the other night? Couldn't remember what brand car he was racing but was already plugging Toyota saying how he just bought a new Camry and what a great car it was.

Mark made a hell of a save. I also agree Hamlin did get alot of help. I thought the race was Tonys if he wanted it, but he let the rookie have it.

yea, i just looked at nascar .com and seen what bill davis did. dodge should sue him for all of his cars and equipment. but, waltrip got around that by putting his name and the owner of  jasper engines  down as the owner's of the 55!
i won't be suprised if someone knocks kyle busch on his ass and shuts his mouth for once!

I could not agree more. I work for a fire marshalls office in the midwest. One of the guys in my office has worked for NASCAR the past 10 years as a medic/fireman/official. He works 95% of the races. To make a long story short he said that Mickey has a "camera face", and his "real face". He has told me when there is not a camera around, there is not a bigger a-hole than him.

Makes for great television, though - which ultimately is the point.

One thing though, Mikey put a Dodge in front of the pack for awhile. Not many other Dodges in front, but Bobby Labonte's Qualifying run gives me hope. I also think Mikey knew this was a throw away season at Bill Davis. He was just looking at 2007 all the way. He just knew he was gonna be #3 at DEI if he stayed. That is why he left. Everything there was done for Jr's benefit, even when Mikey was running better than him. The end of the season showed everyone that. Mikey is running great and Jr ain't, so lets put Mikeys team with Jr.  ::) He knew when Truex showed up, he'd just be #3 instead of #2.

The Carl Edwards call was bogus. Just Nascar being idiots again.

Someone should drive Kyle Busch into the fence. He is just a plain dumba--. I am sure if he messes with Tony again, we will see the 5 car doing  180's down the front stretch. McMurray already has a bullseye painted on the back of the 5 car already I am sure.

Tony's comments at the end are pretty accurate. You have a lot of young guns trying to prove themselves and getting too aggressive with their moves. I also liked Jr's comment. They do get payed alot to do it and they know what the risks are. Tony can say and think what he wants, but you don't see him climbing out of the race car and retiring.

There was a good article on Speedtv.com  about a month ago about guys basically buying #'s from established teams.   The owners points travel with the car # - so a new team can have last years "owners points" and get provisional spots for many of the races, even if they are a brand new team with no winning or even points achieving history.
I believe Waltrips / Jasper team  was one of these "scammer" teams mentioned...................

I couldn't agree more.  And for Carl Edwards, even though I'm not a fan of him, I hate to see unust calls,  This and other reasons are why I think Nascar is going down the tubes.  The call was bogus and if Nascar has an intrigity, they should apologize to him and his team at the first race of the season.  It seems Nascar like sto follow the rules and also bend them at their own whim, an independant panel needs to be called in on rulings like that one.
After that call I stopped watching the race.  Did the otehr 2 team drivers say anything or stick up for Carl?  He could have wrecked them so they should have stepped up to his defense, if not, they are a bunch of cowards to Nascar.

I pissed that I missed most of the race.  I was looking at a couple of chargers in fields.  Nothing to report.  Carl Edwards is going to get a break one of these days, hopefully.

Did you see the results for the Daytona 500 trials.  The dodge cars are on the bottom of the list :-[

I noticed that as well. Dodge went to Nascar a couple times this off season with new noses for the Charger and they were shot down. They are going back again in the next week with another nose. Hope this on gets through. Penske Racing is running the 2004 Intrepid again this year in several of the races because it is better than the Chargers.
