Taking apart the back inside of my car tonight and found something,at least to me,seems odd.I've taken apart a few Chargers before and don't recall seeing these black plastic panels that were behind the metal plates that the upper rear cushions fasten to ?Or did the cars I've taken apart before have them go missing at somepoint?Well, they're there, may as well leave'em !!
Have any of you seen these before?

Yep original one of those mystery parts. To prevent water my car has them.

It's for water?  Cool, I've seen them but never knew their purpose, thanks.

Yes they are splash shields.  Not sure if all cars came with them.   Mine didnt have them but I wasnt the first to take apart interior either...
Whats your SPD on that car Paul?

Yeap, same thing on mine.  I assumed it was a splash shield to prevent water getting into the car from that back corner of the quarter window.

Would somebody remove one and take a pic so that maybe others could fashion a set as well?

Mr. Lee

I have them installed also, but had the same question. Now I know  :2thumbs:

Since you disassembled the rear upper panels, can you tell me what I need to mount these in my car: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,97807.0.html

Thanks  :2thumbs:

Every original Charger and hardtop B body I have taken apart has had them, though they are a different shape. The Chargers are a lot longer. I don't remember finding any in post cars.

thanks guys , building my car from rolling shell, and had forgotten how these fit, water seal and to stop the wind also getting up under your head liner whilst driving with the windows down
