Yeah, that always makes me buy quickly.  That along with, there is another guy on his way over with the money (which actually could be true), or someone else offered me more (then why didn't you take it stupid) or my all time favorite, if you don't buy it I will crush it (sure you will and if you run out of gas in your daily driver you will burn it to the ground).

F8-4life

To me that says the seller is a unstable peice of work...thats not how you sell a car. Let him raise it
Oh, and if he'll take 4k for the next 2 days, that tells me he probably got the car for 3k or less, and is just playing stupid games hoping to catch a buyer.

XS29L9Bxxxxxx

I had a car for sale for $32k, then lowered to $29k, still didn't sell... Added about $8k worth of work to the car and listed for $42k, and got really close to that. In the end, I made the car more desirable, and sold for even more of a profit. I had just over $23k invested, total. Owned the car for about 3 years.

But to the specific ad mentioned, he's trying to get people to buy, with a sense of urgency. It might work - or not... :Twocents:

'if I haven't sold it by Thursday morning I'll either keep it or raise the price again to 6k'

Note the word 'again'    ::)

It isn't the worst looking Charger out there for that price though.

No it's not, but it will be if he keeps jacking the price.

Could be, and with it listed in the Jacksonville CL it could have all of that hidden salt air damage those cars can have but it does seem to be priced more in the project zone than a lot of other more obviously rotted projects.

NHCharger

He says typical Mopar rust, which means rust in every panel. Also mentions the roof is so rusted it need to be replaced. that's not a job for a beginner.

I assume your referring to the many times I've referred to these low ball POS people when I was basically trying to GIVE mine away @$15K, I would very much so take a video of it after I stripped it down and made the money I needed from it and crush it, send you the video, then watch as your low ballin' ass saw yet another Charger go to that graveyard in the sky. Is it considered "Right" here? Surely not, but maybe someone will get the message instead of just tippy toeing around it like most do. I have been on the other end of the scale as well. Went to look at a 1970 440 6 Pack Cuda body, car was fairly solid so I made the guy an offer around $200 lower than he was asking (Asking $1000 W/ title)..Dude came back with "You knew that price was a deal, why would you even try to piss me off like that? I mean, that's like an insult man"....

Price went up, so I had to pay $1400 for a body I knew was well worth $1K....Best lesson I ever learned.
Haven't had to do it with a Mopar yet, but I did strip down (and took a video of it being crushed), a NICE 1968 Chevelle SS396 Body I tried like hell to sell for $600.00 one time.
" I have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours researching what works and what doesn't and I'm willing to share"

Ghoste

No, I don't think he meant you.  I seem to recall a few years ago someone purporting to be quite serious that if they didn't get their price the car would be crushed.  I can't remember details so it may not have been a GL and its possible there is some confusion with your car there (or not) but this was a different thread I'm fairly sure.
