It's listed on elsewhere to and I didn't bother to actually check geography but I didn't think they were awfully close to each other.  The rust thing is questionable as it has obviously been repainted and has new interior. Never know though.  No pic of tag either so it could be a conversion.

Where did you get the matching #s info from, did you call? Not listed in this ad.

I thought 68`s had the reverse lockout shifter?

bakerhillpins

I believe that was only with the Inland shifters that were only used in the first half (less?) of the production year. Not with the Hurst one like that car has.

The Hurst shifters came in about the March/April '68 time frame. The radiator is wrong. It has the pedal dress up kit, so it has been modified somewhat. Any vin/fender tag info on this car? Where else was it advertised?  :scratchchin:

he told me it was matching  ::) so Im going off that.  Showed me the 3 rust post areas and they were not bad per say seen worse.

bull

3 visible rust spots = 15 invisible rust spots.

Homerr

Translation:

no rust = I didn't see rust on it 20 years ago
minor rust = I stripped it to bare metal 10 years ago and stored it outside under a tarp
solid project car = I'm scared to look, there's rust!
disassembled = I started taking it apart, then it started falling apart
solid frame! = I'm a Chevy guy and mopars are expensive!  Fuck this!
solid frame rails = the solid frame rails hold the rust together
solid floors = I can't actually put my foot through the floor yet
primed and ready for paint = I shat myself when I saw all the rust so I primered it and and am selling ASAP
frame off restoration = I have no idea what I'm talking about
General Lee = this is one rusty mother, but you're emotionally tied to DoH and will look past this!
fully restored = there was previously a shitload of rust on this Charger!  See price.

Ghoste

That would be funnier than it already is if it weren't so true.

Bandit72

Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

So is 16k really that far out for this car?

I saw an identical one for 14k with 4 speed, but with 440 and same condition non matching though.  Still to me its a 14k car.....slap some paint on it, clean it up a bit and im sure you can sell it for 20k...someone out there wants it for that much.

F8-4life

Im gonna say 10k is fair.  You know if the guy wants 16k he probably got it for 8k or less. Plus it has modern seats uugh. Why be someone elses fool. Be the guy finding this car in a barn for 7k. Im after a car similer to this it can be had for 8k but it is alittle ruffer and non numbers, And its sitting in a feild not a computer screen in front of the world.  Screw the # anyway to me they just restrict your freedom to enjoy.

Out to pasture is never good usually means LOTS of rust.

I asked about the vin and fender tag, and received in response a partial vin number.  :brickwall:  16k is steep for this car...unless the car market has firmed up suddenly; Four years ago it was a 16k car.  :Twocents:
