How sharp should the body line on the top of 1/4 panel be? I thought if was fine until I put the door on, the door is a hard edge and the 1/4 is a bit softer. I'm getting ready to finish up with the body filler and not sure what to do with this.  :popcrn:

There's no real precise radius.  Precision was not a factor with these cars, so pick the sharpness you like best and match the rest.  Personally, I like it as sharp as possible and keep it that way until final sanding where I barely knock down a bit of the edges.

Also it will depend on color.  if you paint it white or silver or any flat color it will appear to be much sharper then if you would paint it gloss black or something.  If you go with black, keep them very sharp to maintain the lines as they tend to drown in dark colors.

Experiment a bit when you have it in primer.  YYou also may want to keep the bottom quarter line a bit rounder than the rest as it tends to look more sharp to begin with due to the angle the panel makes.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

I see on some cars it's a sharp line and others not so much. I was looking at it again and it's not bad. I will also had to fit up were the door and 1/4 meet, they trapper in a bit.

The top line softens a bit more as it goes towards the rear of the car.

I did notice that, this is one of the problems of getting a car that someone else started. I didn't take it apart so I didn't see it at the start. Looking at the lines of the car the last few days reminds me why I love this car,it has great lines.

Art deco cars of the 30's be damned, gimme the 2nd gen Charger anyday for automotive art.

I could argue that one.  But, yes, 2nd gen Charger is a piece of art.

You could, but I am in, on and around those art deco cars every day so I have to stay with what I like personally.

I see no sense in trying to change  someones' personal taste.  Especially, when we have similar tastes

I put the fenders and hood on yesterday to make sure everthing lines up. I'm getting close to the last stages of work on the shell, some clean up and filling on door and fenders and we'll be on the way to primer and paint. But once all the panels are on man it looks cool. :2thumbs:

When putting the fenders and hood on ,is there alot of shims needed? I think the hood bought might have a slight bow to it on the drivers side. I'll post picture soon.
