Is there a donation fund set up for funeral expenses?
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Can't say I "knew" Steve, as only time I spent around him was here. However, That time was good. Glad to have known you and RIP Friend.

Attended the memorial service yesterday for Steve. Beautiful sunny day, and had the honor to drive his cherished 67 Charger (Big Red) to the memorial site. First time driving a 4 (actually 5) speed Mopar, manual steering, manual brakes. Car was simply amazing to drive, and it is a gawker magnet in Viper Red.

USAF honor guard did a flag ceremony, and taps outdoors...very emotional. Last part of the service was held indoors where people could get up and tell stories/memories about Steve. Even had a buffet lunch served so people would stay and talk.

I had to tell the story of he and I (mostly he) changing the starter out on Big Red in the parking lot of the hotel at Spring Fling this past April. He figured out that without a jack, the only way to get under the car was to beat on the old starter, and once it started, drive the LF wheel up onto the curbing! Good thing the E brake held....

The whole service was well done in my opinion. Amazing how many pictures in the DVD slide program playing on a big screen TV in the background were Mopar friends and their cars. Steve loved his wife, loved his family, and loved Mopars....I will remember him behind the wheel of Big Red with a big grin on his face.....rest in peace my friend....
