So I already know what most might say as i agree with the old name usage, Dart, Charger in a 4 door should be a sin, however being a loyal Dodge brand owner is this a good fuel economy option? I just got a new job where I will be commuting over a hour a day one way. I need a alternative fuel economical car and with all the smaller cars on the market I took a look at a new Dart. This thing actually recieves high praise among the competition and once again in my opionion Dodge/fiat stepped up putting together a decently priced car with alot of nice technology upgrades.... Not convinced on the look but actually drove nice and felt like a comfortably ride with a little pep. I drove the 1.4 liter turbo and it has a nice little sound and moved with a purpose. Well.... Anyone else have a thought or opionion? I would be intrested to hear them before I go and talk to a dealer.

I think Ponch took one for a drive and posted a review up another thread recently?

I looked in the old posts and there was some feed back when it first came out. I guess I'm looking for opionions on those now who have driven it since it has been available for awhile.

I thought the reviews were all that it seemed to be a good daily commuter sort of car, not suited for someone really tall?  I've seen them but haven't had a chance to drive one yet.

I sat in a new one at the dealership and had more then enough room with the seat all the way back In fact I could have slid the seat forward some and still been fine.  I am a 6'1 fat POS  and it was very nice sitting. easy to get in and out of as well. With the seat all the way back sitting in the back seat would not be possible for another adult.

Or are you looking for a "long term" opinion, as opposed to just a test drive opinion.

Have any forum members bought one?

Heck yeah it's a great 'fuel economy' option.   It's aerodynamically slicker than a wing car, too.   .285 cd and that's not even the new "Aero" version of the Dart.
Actually, they built tons of 4 door Darts in the past, but again, that IS the past so it''s time to move forward and embrace change for the better.
Besides - when I think Dart, I remember all the bullet-proof Darts I owned in the past that never let me down.  They made great winter beaters and allowed me to put the Charger away!
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?
