IT'S A/C TIME!! - which system, Classic Auto Air or Vintage Air?

Hey guys -

Ok, after going through last year with no A/C in a black on black Charger  I have decided to purchase an AC system  . Does anyone have any experience with either Classic Auto Air or Vintage Air systems. If so what are the pro's and con's to each one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There was a post not so long ago that Classic was supposed to FIT abit better than some of the vintage air,  Maybe more model specific?  I am not good with searhest but maybe you could find it.

I have seen the Vintage Air installed on a few Mopars. Looks like a very clean installation. They use the smaller, compact size compressor which looks much better than the factory unit.

I'm sure Classic Auto Air is a good system too. I've only seen them installed on Chevy's.

In the process of a Classic Auto Air install.  Check dodgecoronet.com under tech:  Coronet restoration for more.  The order and shipping went great.  Got it fast, and no damage.

No comparison. The Classic system hands down. They seperate the evaporator and heater core to prevent damage from freeze-up. The Classic system uses stainless hardware to prevent rusting and the case can be disassembled for service if needed. They also use your stock non a/c heater controls which makes it look factory. Their condensor is designed specifically for use with R134a and the condensor fits correctly. They even have the mounts to install the compressor on a six pack motor if needed. Their systems are more specific for each vehicle instead of using a standard housing for several applications.
