At least the NHRA didn't just legislate Chrysler off the track, like NASCAR did with wing cars and the Hemi :popcrn:

Really?  The weight breaks in Stock and Super Stock very much targeted Chrysler and Pro Stock was even worse.  The NHRA literally asked Grumpy Jenkins to help them re-write the rules for 1972 specifically to end the Mopar stranglehold on the class.  Not only that, but anytime a Mopar did win in Pro Stock during that 1972 season, they would actually change rules at the BEGINNING of the next race to stop the Pentastar crew from winning AND THEY WOULD TELL THEM THAT TO THEIR FACES!!!

I made copies of that and hung it on all the guys tool boxes at the body shop I worked at. :hah: They busted my chops all the time for driving a Mopar.
