Whos carpet did you use?  One of Dave W's?

I got the carpet from ECS.   :2thumbs:
Looked like it....nice & smooth

Chris, are you thinking what I'm thinking?  :scratchchin:

Nah, I was just envisioning a carpet swap soon in the near future is all.  :icon_smile_wink:

I wouldn't be surprised to see that '68 in the "T" Building next year, either.  :drool5:

How does one get a coveted inside spot?   :D

Dino

Turbindude, are you doing a picture guide on how to install and align the power windows?  You are?  Wonderful.   :D

Guess what project I'm doing next.   :icon_smile_big:

I've got the windows assembled & this weekend's project will be getting them aligned and lubricated.....assuming that all 4 motors work. I think the front will be pretty easy, mainly because everything is predicated on the alignment of the vent window frame to the A-pillar (which is done). After that, there really isn't that many more adjustwments left on the fronts. I do think the rears quarter windows will be a little challenging as there's a lot of adjustments there.    :o

Yeah that's the part that's making me nervous, those rears do not look like fun.  At all.

I forgot about the vent windows.  I have new rubber seals for them so I best take the whole thing out first and fix those.

Grab two wires and a battery and test those motors first before you go through all the trouble getting the whole assembly in the car.

Well, I did connect a battery & all 4 motors work and while I was there, I started working on the adjustments & got the two lh windows adjusted pretty well. Tomorrow I'll grease them up & see how they ride before the door panels go on. In regards to adjusting the front window; I got the up stop & rear window tracks adjusted to where it closes good on the roof rail w/strip. On the rear window, I got the front/rear slide adjustments and the up stop adjustments taken care of at the same time, then alinged the window to go into the roof rail w/strip. Next was to see how the two windows ride up and down individually with the door closed. That took a bit more adjustment on the quarter window (front-rear & up stops) to get it to the point where I was satisfied. Overall, it wan't as bad as I thought it would be.  :2thumbs:

Keep in mind that on the quarter windows, there's up stop adjustments on the front of the window & also at the rear.

Are you using one of those "universal" electric window kits, or factory equipment?

Same here.

Wouldn't going any other route with your car be like putting Wal-Mart brand tires on a Lamborghini?!   ;)

I spent the better part of the day yesterday finishing up the power window adjustments & today it's time to put some of the interior back together. My new tires came in this week & it's almost time to order some wheels. next on the agenda will be assembling the rear brakes. Mother nature paid us a little visit last night.  :2thumbs:

I've been saying that for years.

I wish she was, then I could just nicely pay her for services rendered and be satisfied that I got what I wanted.  I think she is a lot more like an ex-wife.
