he definatly needs to go back to the drawing board on this one
  but it was better then having to fab one from scratch  , and its still solid  , we will drill another hole on the passenger side and though the crossmember & frame  and it will still have 4 bolts .

  this is the 5 speed crossmember  I think that looks like what i got
but the 6 speed tranny is a whole lot bigger

   Working day 4   :icon_smile_big:upper crossmember support mach up and fab and start of building sheet metal tunnel after last test fit and final tweeking of the opening to make sure good clearence all around

 this is an old original pistol grip shifter I'm going to cut it right there at the off set bent and drill two holes in it to mount to a shift tower i'm buying

 its a real console shifter so it will look great , I wll buy a new repop arm for the shifter to go in my 70 road runner coupe

Stu, Have you considered a 71-72 b body non console pistol grip shifter handle ?

I think it would be just about the right length with out cutting the one you have :shruggy:

I've got one laying around here...

i want the offset angle look of the console one , this one is a little beat up so i'm not sweating cutting it up
