As I posted on my resto thread last year a one of my best friends (he is also my sons father in-law) found out he has cancer. I pretty much put my resto off then and I tried to spend as much time with him and try to do some things before the inevitable happened. My son and his wife blessed him with a grand daughter a couple yeas ago and that has really helped him battling cancer since they have been staying with him. He caught pneumonia last Wed and was admitted to the VA where he went down hill from there. Really nice guy that has had a over hundred people visit him in the last few days. They gave him 48 hours last night  :'( He is a Marine Vietnam vet that was a purple heart recipient. He loved to DJ for parties, weddings and so forth, he retired from Hills Pet Foods about 6 years ago. He will be sorely missed, I just wish I would have had the car done to give him a ride  :patriot: My wife's aunt just was admitted in hospice to spend her last days there to fight cancer as well. I help the American Cancer Society collect in my neighborhood and this was the worst year for donations  :-\ ....cancer sucks

Sad story that hits close to home for me as well as I lost my first wife to cancer when she was only 38. That was in 2005....She is the reason for my 68 build as we always wanted a muscle car but couldn't afford one at that stage of life but she told me on her death bed what she wanted me to do :'(. It seems to me that you now can't count on your fingers and toes the amount of people you know who are battling this disease. 10 years ago you knew someone who knew someone but now thats not how it is. I too donate to the Cancer society in Canada to hope for a cure...sorry for your loss  :pity:

May the Lord follow over your friend and give you and his family peace. Cancer really does suck and I hope mankind can continue to discover ways to battle this evil thing. One of my best buddies is fighting it now...

Sorry for your loss. I too know what a bastard cancer can be. Horrible disease. May your friend finally find the peace he deserves.

Yes,  it does suck... sorry to hear.

July 2011 I was diagnosed stage 4 colon cancer and had emergency surgery for complete colon obstruction.
Liver and spine spread. 2 spine surgeries,  Chemo and radiation with minimal progress.
