Got a guy that's selling s 440 out of a Winnebago,I've heard different things-he says its got less than 60,000 on it and he wants 700.00 for it and the 727 attached. I know it's not a magnum but is it worth purchasing and maybe tweaking the thing for some more horses?

Check to see that it is in fact a 440. I believe that many (most?) RVs used the 413 motor. I think many folks will say that the 413 is expensive to get performance out of, compared to a 440.

Others will have to weigh in on whether a 440 at that price is worth it.  :shruggy:

water pump housing is different than a car, Transmission is different has a parking brake drum on tail shaft. That's pretty expensive for a RV 440 (if that is in fact what it is)
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

$700.00 is in line for a heavy duty block such as an "RV" 440. IF it is a 440. Might be a 413. If it has the "Truck" Intake/heads/etc. which will look VERY different from the typical "Car" 440 stuff your used to seeing, it really isn't worth as much as all you will be needing/using is the lower end/short block.
