FC7 V code

I've had this car since 1983 and used it a fair amount until the mid 90's(marriage and kids tend to often divert your attention). In any case as my Son has grown up he has inspired/tormented/pushed me into getting a few of the Mopars out of the pole barn and running once more. We started two summers ago with the AAR that I'd had since 86, It was last licensed for the road in 2001. Surprisingly except for a new gas tank it didn't require a lot to get going and we have been driving it for the last couple summers now. We then turned our sights onto this V-code Charger 4 speed which was my favorite of the group. Talk about trouble, it was first one thing after another...wiring, fuel system, motor, brake system. You name it we worked on it. The car was last licensed in 93. Trust me leaving a car sitting is about the worst idea you can possibly have :brickwall:. In the meantime we stripped our 70 Challenger SE FK5 383 car for a rebuild and managed to get my Uncles 68 300 running, all the while still working on the Charger. It's great to have a couple of energetic/interested teenagers to help motivate you. Finally on Labor day week-end the V-code started and ran. A few days later it made it into the light of day once more, still a few issues to resolve but it has moved under its own power and looks and sounds pretty darn good. It still needs a few items that were not readily available when it was restored in 1984, but we are now collecting them to get it back to as close to original as possible. I'm attaching a few photos of it and the 300. Hope you enjoy! :2thumbs:

A few more photos, a couple of my deceased Uncle's 300...last license plate 1980. We needed a starter, battery, alternator,  and one fuel line. After that we were good to go. A 440 auto car, rolls down the road fantastic. Last a couple more of the 70 Charger while we were getting the carbs back on. My Son took the last photo of the three of us working under the hood. Same three that worked on the car in 1984. Lots more pounds/gray hair/or lack of any hair  but its great we could all be there.

Hope your search for a V-code ends with success Nines! Thought I had found one for you, believe it or not even Plum Crazy but after taking a look at mine he has started a resto on this one. I will keep my eyes open and good luck. The blue/white 69 got a couple trophies this summer and we have enjoyed it a ton. You did a great job on it!

I appreciate you looking for me. Too bad he changed his mind that one would have done it. I had found a black one but the guy changed his mind on that one as well. Im glad you are happy with the blue car, it needed to be enjoyed. Its in better hands now in my opinion!
