I'm gonna get back on the paint/body repairs!  :yesnod: Went outside at 9AM and it was not 90* for the first time I can recall in 7 months! I just gave up about 40 days ago and pulled a cover over the car, called it quits, fighting heat, mosquito's bites, wind/rain and humidity. I was loosing ground even getting outside at 5-6 am. The sun would clear the horizon and it was like a blast furnace!
I totally lost momentum, sick of dripping sweat all over my prepped body repairs. I know all over the country there were record highs, some even hotter than down here in Florida's high heat and humidity!
What's first on your list of things to do now that cooler weather is just around the corner?

JB400

My list involves checking out a junkyard that is supposed to have some parts for me.  Then, get my truck up and running again so I can do some hauling this coming season.  After that, start with the body work.

im hoping to get this out of jail and begin the assembly process....its almost in final primer coat,I think!

Im hoping it dosent take too long!

Um, drive my car up to Treasure Island.  ;)  http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,94893.0.html  We play by a different set of rules here is California.  :yesnod:  I took this shot yesterday off of my roof as I patiently waited for the Shuttle Endeavour flyover. http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,95262.msg1089085.html#msg1089085 The weather right now is about letter perfect for any outdoor activity. A lot going on in the "Land of Loons" right now.

I just did it.  Mow the lawn and chop up leaves before there are so many I have to leaf blow them and grind them.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

With Hollywood know-it-alls, complete nanny state, home of Nancy Pelosi, heck, I could go on and on. But, you guys will always have the best weather and yes, I am jealous.

It is 53 and raining in NE Indiana today.  :P

De-thatched, aerated the lawn & planted grass seed. Leaves are falling already, I'll be blowing & raking them soon. Fall sucks.  :brickwall:

I would like to finally install that electric trunk release, though.  :scratchchin:

Nice Pict's, & nobody call the fire department thinking you were going to jump. Well where do I start. Get the trailer brakes working to take the Dart in to have the head liner installed, before snow flies hopefully. Just got the overdrive in the Hemi box for the 70, going out to Ct. to pick up parts. Cover the pool, mow chop leaves, etc., etc. never done.

FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

Charger RT

Nothing to my charger except drive it more here in Florida. My son just started his senior year in high school by getting enrolled at the college he does high school classes in the morning at the college and learns body work in the afternoons. Hopefully in a few winters from now we will restore my charger together.

But this winter get my lotus head back on my 92 daytona and weld a floor in my sons 89 daytona.

Keep driving as much as possible before we get salt on the roads. Winter is hit or miss around here. We may not break out the salt trucks until January,or they may make a appearance in November.
Regardless, I'm going to enjoy the cooler weather as much as possible. Road Runner didn't see much action this summer. I actually took it off the road a couple times during the heat of the summer to do some mechanical work I normally would have reserved for winter.

On the Challenger R/T Clone/Tribute/look-a-like,etc.
Gonna finally check piston to valve clearance, reassemble the 440, get it in the car and running. Finish installing the sub frame conn., Just installed my 2 1/2" Magnaflow exhaust with Pypes Tips. Try by spring next year to get it in paint. Gotta order driver's seat cover too.

Drive.  Fall in SE Michigan is pretty spectacular.  The car doesn't need anything but gas.  After I install new heater hoses I may tackle something else I want done this year but I'll likely leave it alone until spring when I install the A/C, new brakes and power up the doors, trunk, windows and maybe the seats.

I know how you feel though Blue. The heat was insane this year.  I hate doing anything to the car when it's that hot.  Working in fall is much more fun.  Heck I'd rather have winter than that insane summer we had.
