console carpet help needed

Do the trim clips go through the carpet? I'm confused on the back piece ,glue it and wrap it around what?? Does the big piece (4 spd)  get glued too?? Thanks

If you are referring to the side, yes. 
The piece of trim that has the clips in it - the clips go through the very edge of the carpet to hold it.

On the back piece of carpet... I glued the back side and held it in place with clamps until it dried.  Then I wrapped the loose ends around the sides, glued them in place and clamped them until they dried.
