Can you replace cam in 528 crate hemi with out removing intake? My idea was to pull lifters out with magnet if the holes in heads were big enough where push rod comes through. Did this before in a 383 car years ago worked great.
Never had valve covers off before so dont really know what Im looking at

Thanks Werner

The angles would make it very hard to be sucessful.  Tim

I have never tried this with a Hemi but I bet it could be done , the spaces between the intake ports are large definatly worth a try

Yep.
Nothing time and a good magnet won't accomplish.

I use a long thin screwdriver to hold the lifters down while removing the magnet  after you get them back in the bores

a few years back i found a really strong magnet with a light in the middle of it on an extendable pole from craftsman. it works great for doing this stuff.
