I'm going to look at a 1979 Dodge Aspen 2 door this weekend. Its black with a red interior, rallye wheels, /6 automatic, and its got 89000 miles on it. Owner says the M/T are freshly rebuilt. What are some things I need to look out for on these? In the pictures it doesn't look too rusty but no way of knowing until I see it in person. Paint is very faded it appears.

Rust and lots of it. The front fenders were recalled on earlier years so that would be one area. The area around the tail lights is another spot that is common.

I've owned a few over the years from Road Runners to Super Coupes so I've got a soft spot for em....

Yeah, I know...

The owner says its a "Super 6" car which as far as I can tell thats just a bigger exhaust and a 2 barrel carb. Also comes with a complete second interior.

That's correct on the Super Six.

Good luck.

I went to buy a R/T version in late 95 until I saw how much rust their was!!  :eek2: personally they are too ugly and the front suspension is bumpsteer heaven for me to even think about fixing one up!
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.
