A little too soon for trades yet Larry  :icon_smile_big:
Besides you love that car too much  :yesnod:

Personally I like the styling of the Superbirds better, but when the stars finally aligned for a winged car for me, it was a Daytona not a bird.  Never know.
And maybe you're right Larry, those who want Daytonas want Superbirds and vice versa.
Time will tell....  :icon_smile_big:

Daves right...in the mid eighties I begged two different guys to sell me their Daytonas and neither would consider it, I actually had someone come to me about the Bird I ended up with.
wingless now, but still around.

You guys are really making the argument to shun anyone from even attempting to pry the Daytona from my hands,

I havent seen a Daytona owner that wanted a Bird yet. Other than the 6bbl and pistol grip I dont see why they would? We could go on and on about the differences but that was all covered in another thread.

Then, you haven't met me......... I love Superbirds............................. I would love to have one........ Hey, Larry, wanna trade a Superbird for a Y2 C500?. .

Ohhhh, you mean would I ever give up my Daytona for a Superbird?.............. If the Superbird had a Hemi and a 4-speed I might.........   :icon_smile_big:

There are several things that I like better about the Superbirds. I like the pistol grip shifter, the larger wing, the larger trunk opening, the fact that it's a plymouth, the six pack option, the high back seats and the cool Superbird logos.
The only thing that I don't like is the granny looking vinyl top. The only color that looks good with a black vinyl top is black and lo and behold, they didn't build any black birds.

Here's an early pic of my bird with a vinyl top.

Exactly why I like  them Larry.  :2thumbs:
Regarding the vinyl top, if it had my perfect color combo ( B5, white interior) ,  and I was keeping the car, I would put a white vinyl top on it .  :icon_smile_big:   Of course it would have to be a six-pack 4 speed car.

They're Enkei's that have the 4 1/2" bolt pattern. I know where they are and would like to get them to keep with the car. I also have the billet Centerlines that were on the car when I purchased it.

I like the fact that it was probably put on " back in the day",  and if it was in good shape I would just leave it.
I don't think I could take off a perfectly good black top for white though.

:shruggy: to each teir own, but I hate the White top! The only time I even almost liked a white top was on the triple white Bird from the Car Craft/ Hot Rod Nationals back in the early eighties.

Ah, I knew it. No one would do that today. They would be chastized for it not being factory.
B5 with white is in my opinion one of the best combos on any car.  I had a 71 Barracuda Conv in that combo, and everyone loved that car ( car people and non car people alike- especially the ladies  :yesnod: :D  )
