My 71 Charger is being re-assembled and we are looking to find a source for the following....

Weatherstrip seal at the front of door seal at the top of the weatherstrip. The rear seals came with the new Weatherstrip but not the front pieces.

Also need a heater motor vent tube and need what I think is a vacuum outlet plate that bolts underneath the heater motor???....see pic

Found a correct rubber grommet and on to the next "small" issue....

I ordered a "complete" weatherstrip kit. The "kit" did not have these pieces so I emailed the supplier and was told "on a 71 Charger there was no other door weatherstrip other than the piece that wraps around the door itself".  So what are these called and who carries them?

Got a lead from a Moparts member that Steele Rubber had the part.  Got it ordered and just have to hope it fits right!    Now onto the next part of the project....rounding up a rallye cluster. :pullinghair:

You meant on 3rd gen charger board ?

Nope, here!   I was not aware there was a 3rd gen forum.  I ended up with the 71 Charger as a fluke.  I have been hunting for a 1970 B5 blue Charger (with white or blue interior) since 2005 to replace one of my Dads 2 70 Chargers he had when I was a kid.  Anyway, A few years ago on the week of Christmas, I saw an ad listed in my hometown for 71 Charger and sent my Dad to go look at it.  Lets just say the asking price was less than I have seen the bucket seats sell for.   Anyway, when my Dad called and told me what the car looked like and what parts were good/bad.  I told him to buy it and would send him the money.  He replied "to late, I already paid the guy and I am getting the trailer hooked up to go get it".  So I went ahead and sent my Dad the money and he got the car tucked away in the shop.  It got sent to have some work done on the roof (had a hole cut just above the drivers side winshield).  It ended up getting painted so now it is being reassembled.  It is not going to replace a 70 but at least it is the right color combo to buy me some time to find a 70 for him.  :brickwall:  I will find one some how, some way.... :brickwall:

I have a spare cluster  and bezel in my stash of leftover parts. It is not a tach cluster however. From memory a 120 mph speedo. The bezel has not been butchered around the radio opening. Let me know if this piques your interest. 150 plus shipping from Canada.

Never too many questions.  Yeah jump in the third gen forum, always room for more there too.
I have a bunch of engine bay pictures and can't seem to find another with that same hole in the firewall.
I would suggest getting a round piece and screwing it in as it looks af if somone has done before.   :shruggy:
You may want to post a pic there as well, maybe some one else has a clue!! :popcrn:

I got most of the stuff figured out, with the help of many forum members from several forums! I have also purchased a ton of parts from many forum members for this project....

Headliner bows
Tail light housings
Glove box insert
Console wire harness
Shift linkage
Steering column
Console brackets
Front turn signal housings
And many other items...some found by members on eBay

The car is really coming along great! I heard that they have the motor and transmission is in!
