Has that molded in valence end cap thing going on doesn't it?  Pretty car in general but I would want to see it in person before buying.  I am not an ideal e-bay customer I guess.

Tilar

Beautiful car, but hardly what I would call a survivor.

Repaint with bondo work, wrong stripe, painted master cylinder cap, engine painted black, And the windshield washer bottle... Is the cap right or am I just used to looking at repops? lol

And to top it all off, according to the description it has: "THE ORIGINAL FACTORY QUADROJET CARBORATER"

Personally I think someone needs to contact the people that did the appraisal and explain all the wrong things they apparently missed.

That's what she said.  Anyway, what's the "molded in valance panel" look?  Ultimately I'm guessing this is someone who doesn't genuinely want to sell the car, hence the unrealistic price.  On another note I do wish death and disease on the owner for stealing that #68 from Carl's Jr. though; being a restaurant operator myself, it pisses me off when the car guys steal shake and food number plates just so they can put it on their stupid-ass cars, and then bitch and complain about why the prices keep going up...

maybe a 20 k car--------maybe,that said still nicer than mine

I'll be a little bit more generous and say $30K, minus $2K for stealing the Carl's Jr. number, and minus another $1K for the spelling skills of a 2nd grader, assuming there's no major, hidden damage upon inspection and no additional corrosion taking place anywhere else.  I hate reading pompous ebay descriptions, so does it run and drive, and do so well?  We can say what we want about the price but it LOOKS like a very nice car, just not $75K nice...

R/T's didn't come with 2:73 rear ends (unless it was special ordered).  They came stock with 3.54's.

Yeah, the tail stripe is really weird.  It is the striping for a 1969 - but then, the wide stripe is too narrow to be a 1969.

Appraised by a "clueless idiot" IMO. :eek2:  I wonder how much that appraisal cost him. What ever it was, it was a waste of money...

You are thinking 68 R/T with the 4 speed trans. You were required to order the 3.54 Dana rear when you checked the 4 speed trany.  The 68 R/T with an automatic came standard with a 3.23 open rear.

love how he saids, 'at 110mph its smooth as silk'  ::) Wow I guess he has not driven modern cars or something  :brickwall: last time I checked cars back in the 60s etc..were not smooth as silk.  Its like someone telling you cars built in the 60s were 'perfect' not one mis aligned body part and doors closed as queit as 'silence'

Clueless like a fox. If I appraised cars for roughly twice what they were worth, I could make a pretty lucrative business out of it. It would probably be worth a few hundred bucks to an unscrupulous owner to show my "appraisal" on eBay and fool the sight-unseen rubes. Kind of like what this guy's doing. The best pictures are of the appraisal paperwork.

Hey, now that I think of it...
