Cleaned it up and drove it for the first time since probably November to the first local cruise in of the season. On the way home, I was reminded my instrument lights are out. Forgot about that over the winter.

Finished my Classic Auto air a/c install. I got to the point where I needed my shop to jump in and finish up some of the engine compartment work. Blows ice cold!!!

Looks great. Which fan are you using? I haven't installed my compressor yet, because it's in the way of the fan arc.

Please post more pics of your setup.

Started the tear down today to prep for the new gauges, wiring harness, MSD Streetfire, Petronix Ignitor 2, carb spacer, radiator, headers, exhaust, etc install. Taking care of a few issues.

I'm not sure what fan it is but it's a 7 blade and they had to machine down the spacer because it would have hit the radiator.
Here are a couple of pictures of the finished installation.

Changed my front left tire at a gas station while people told me "what a nice car" I had...  ::)
Seems I drove over something (that I couldn't find!  :shruggy:) & sliced my sidewall open  :brickwall:

Is it? I have one belt that runs from the damper to the water pump and power steering and one from the damper to the alternator. Didn't think it was odd? :shruggy:

Got to drive it on Atlanta Motor Speedway. That was fun. Full details in my Motorama thread.

Wow, a Charger on the high banks. Did they let you pass or get up passed highway speed?

JR

Yeah we could pass each other in the corners. We averaged between 60-75 mph on the high banks. We slowed down for the straights.

It was just a cruise, not a trackday, so we couldn't haul as much ass I would have liked, but it was a brief glimpse into what stock car racing must have been like in the 60s. It was amazing.

Here's my ride waiting on pit Lane right before we went out.

Hey, if it works for you, that is okay by me. I just don' recall seeing them arranged that way.
In other cars, the alternator and water pump pulley share a belt. The power steering is usually alone.

Interesting. When I got the car it had an ac compressor on it but it wasn't hooked up so I removed it. When the ac was in it there were 3 belts. A single that ran from the damper to the water pump and the power steering pump. And a double belt set that wrapped the damper, the ac pump, and the alternator. So when I yanked the ac pump I just kept the belt as it was except went down to a single because of alignment issues between the damper and the alternator.
