Here are a few pics ... nothing special just a driver.  440, 727, 8.75 w/3:55, A/C, etc.  Paid $1200 10 years ago and been working on it ever since.  Probably have over $20k invested...  :-\

Just a driver?  :o  That car is sweet!  I like how clean it looks with no stripes or stickers.  Pretty cool driveway and pictures also.

Now where are the pics of the engine, interior, etc????   :icon_smile_cool:

Ill take some engine pics today.  The interior isn't done yet... I do plan on putting a stripe and hood blackout on, I can't help myself.  It was originally green, but it had a factory stripe option.

The driveway is my parents/grandparents.  I keep the car there because I have no room here ... hehe

Spent a couple hours on it today ... got started re-installing the interior... seats aren't covered yet but everything else is done and will be back in as soon as I get it there...

I took an engine pic, and what is done of the interior.  I am also adding 3 point seat belts and I took a few pics.

Thanks for the new pics!  I like the idea of the 3 point harnesses.  It would be wrong for a 71 of course, but would be a lot nicer than wrestling with those stationary deals.  :P

It had the stationary crap originally.  Couldn't stand it.  I don't care about "originality" since I am building the car for me.  I want it comfortable to drive.  The only issue at this point with the belts is they run on the upper roofrail moulding... need tweaked a bit.  I bought the longest belts... I am hopeful that they are long enough, but I won't know for sure till the seats are back in.

NICE!........I really like the painted steel wheels. How about posting a side pic shot for us!

haueter66

This is the best side shot I have right now.  I have not taken one since the glass and bumpers are on.  I will get a better one sometime.  I went with steel wheels because I honestly like them more than anything else.  I intend to put dog dishes on, but so far the ebay prices are out of my budget!

That is an awesome ride man! I like it!! ;D I bet you can't wait to get it out on the road this spring, I got my 69 Charger on the road last spring and it was the best feeling! My car was a rotting in barn car and had not even been registered  in over 20 yrs.  Great job and congrats!

Cool.  Another '71 500.  Could I bother you to take some pics of just below the doors on yours?  On mine, I've got some nubs that look like they should have something attached to them (maybe chrome rocker panels?) but I have yet to see anything like that on another 71.

very nice.......I like the no badge no lettering no stripes.
looks killer

Also got the mirrors on finally.  Here are some shots of that.

Got the seats covered and in... also got some hubcaps finally.  They are not perfect, but the price was right!

Your car's looking pretty schweet!! Is that color approximately B3?

Man, I love your Grandparent's surroundings, I could have no problem living there...assuming the natural disaster problem is fairly low. ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Ghoste

I don't know how you can say it's nothing special.   Your car is nice and you're doing a great job with it.

haueter66

I appreciate all your comments... By nothing special I guess I meant it's not a concours resto.  I have done everything myself and some of it when I was about 15 so it has its weak spots.  The nice thing is that I can always correct little things as I go.

Yes, my Grandparents have a nice place.  They had a Christmas Tree farm near Cambridge, Oh that was approx. 150 acres.  They traded the land in the late 80's for the 30 they have here.  Good deal if I say so!
