Maybe a silly question, but I want to run it by everyone anyways.  My 69 440hp currently has a standard 4 blade fan on it.  It has been running a little hotter than I like during these hot summer days and was considering a fan swap.  I have two clutch fans sitting around.  1 with 7 blades and 1 with 6.  Will these fans cool better than the stock 4 blade no clutch fan, and if so, what is the advantage/disadvantage of a 6 blade compared to 7?  any idea what I should go with?  Side note, guys that run clutch fans are you still running the fan spacer?

One thing to remember when running clutch fans is to replace the old fan clutch! For whatever reason, I didn't and blamed the shroud, fan, water pump, etc. ...One day I was trying everything under the sun and decided to replace the fan clutch..BOOM, no more heating problems.

With that said, I like the clutch fans due to the extra HP and they do seem to cool better with a shroud than a mech. fan. :Twocents:

I see what your saying, my clutch seems fine, but will probably buy a new one just to make sure.

had the same problem with my 383 last year. switched out my MoPar Performance 5 blade for a 7 blade. it helped a little.
