I just baught a 69 charger that i hope to soon restore. my problem is do i restore it to stock or not?
At heart i am a purist, if the color combo is not that common then i will leave it stock, but if it is
a dime a dozen then i will go purple and black ( interior and roof ) the cars stock colors are white vynle roof, white interior and
the body is  T 3 light bronz met.  can anyone tell me what i have got?
   Thanks,
         James

Car sounds like a nice color combo.  Bet it looks pretty much like the one in the ads they had back in 1969.  If it were up to me, I would leave it that color.  My car originally came F8 green with a green vinyl top and a beige interior.  Seems like every other car back then was painted that ugly green.

That sounds like a nice combo and I don't see many Chargers with a white int or top.

Swap T3 with R4 and you have my car, which is a white hat special and not all that special... :icon_smile_big:
Colors don't state what you got and hardly raise the value, other parts like manual trans or an elephant under the hood do, so any more details would help to see exactly what you got, like the fender tag.
It's a fairly rare color combo for sure but you do have to like it of course. You can always easily go back to stock whenever you want.

Personally I say...it's your car, so do with it what YOU want, build it the way YOU want it to be, nobody else has a say about it, just an opinion.
You want it purple ? Paint it purple and enjoy your ride.

Oh and welcome to the site, it's a crazy jungle but that's the way we like it  :D

terrible one

I would go with purple and black if that's what you really want, but I don't think I've seen a car with your color combo. Got any pics?

I really like that combo.

I'd stick with it. :2thumbs:

Red Kilby's car, "Ginger", looked like that before he went with the factory tan top:

White top, white interior, and bronze paint you say?  Hmmm, yeah I think it'd look great like that. :icon_smile_big:

There are three similar shades T3 Light Bronze, T5 Copper, and T7 Dark Bronze.  I'll look for a chart for you to compare.

Pic1  I believe this newer photo resembles T5.  It is a Custom Mixed color (car was originally F8 Green).

Pic2  Older Advertisement is either T5 or T7.  I'm sorta confused on T7 since mine look NOTHING like the pait chips I've seen.  Paint chips look like BROWN, and on both of my T7 R/Ts it looks LIGHT, even in areas that were covered...

Here I Photo-Chopped the color to look what I feel is an appropriate T3

John,

Your car is the F6 green if I remember correctly which is a shade lighter and nicer (in my opinion) than the F8 green.  By the way, my offer still stands if you want to trade cars. :icon_smile_big:

Two slaps in the face about F8 in one thread , huh Brian? John's car is F8, which I think looks great. I can't speak for John, but trading would Never be an option for me.  :icon_smile_wink:

Guys, first off let me say thanks for appreciating my car, I love it and would never sell or trade it. But I do think the shade of F8 my car was sprayed is a little light. Never the less it always gets a positive coment on the color combo. John
