Well about 2 months ago I bought a 1999 Dodge 2500 V10.  I wanted a 92-98 2500 turbo diesel.  I almost made a deal on one but couldn't pull the trigger.  Well today, I went with a loaded gun and pulled the trigger!  The local Craigs list had a add for a 96 2500 diesel club cab, with 108800 miles. Factory running boards, bed shell brush bar.  Lady said the body was rust free but the clearcoat was peeling so they had it repainted.  I tried to deal Friday and could not get her down as low as I wanted.  After losing the last one I decided to go ahead and get it.  I will try to get some pics later.

No issues pulling with that one.  So is the V10 on the block now?

Yes it is listed in the cars for sale section, and For A bodies site.  I will post it on the local Craigs list and maybe Ebay :shruggy: Asking $5900. it books for $6750 and is a nice truck, so I hope I can move it fast and keep moma off my tail :o

I knew you wouldnt be happy with that V10! Good luck on the 96!! Make sure the KDP (Killer dowel pin) has been fixed if not it will vibrate loose and could fall in between the injection pump gears and then it's $$$$ time, It is a easy fix, remove harmonic balancer and front cover and see if it's still int there you can make a little tab that will cover the hole and prevent the dowel from working its way out!!
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Cooter

Turn the pump up to around "17" and watch the trans disintegrate.

I had a bite on the old car on Craigs list.  This lady emailed me 3 times asking questions and requesting pictures.  I took 14 pictures from every angle she asked for.  Late last night she e mailed mr saying" thank you so much for your patience and all the pictures.  I am realy looking for a short bed and want black."  You can see it is a white long bed from the two pictures that were posted in my ad :shruggy: I wonder if she is from Ausralia :smilielol:

I have listed several cars on ebay and never had any luck.  Not sure how I should do it.  I thought about having a very low opening bid with a reserve of about $5,500, and buy it now $6500, or open at like $5,000 no reserve with the $6500 buy it now :shruggy: Any thoughts?

I think I have a buyer for the V10.  We have agreed on a price and he is comming to see the truck tomorrow.  I have taken down the for sale signs and hopefully will have no need to list it on ebay.  Wouldn't you know, it has not been 24 hours since I agreed to a price, and 3 new people have responded to the Craigslist ad :shruggy:

You should have sent the pics upside down, then she would have seen it properly.  :nana:
