Saw it on the local news the other night.  Looked like a 74 Scamp or Valiant by the grille and hubcabs.    Glad to hear no one was inside.

That makes the news over there?

There was an area of the Merrimack River in Lowell MA where thieves used to regularly drive cars into the river to dump em.

It got so bad that one thief tried to drive a car in one night and it wouldn't sink...because there were 3 cars under it already.

If it still has the matching numbers drive train, I think it should be restored.

Yeah. I vote that you do it.

I live right by a river that runs through our city, and I always ponder how many cars and bodys are hidden inside.

More than you would want to know about probably.

When I was on our Tactical (SWAT) unit full time I was the dive master for the recovery team.  We went one day late in the afternoon to pull a car from one of the boat ramps along the Des Moines river.  While doing that, we discovered three others.  No secret toys surprises however :eek2:
Welcome to Des Moines, this is what death is like...

Pretty funny there are strip pits around our area a few years back there was a missing girl and they used divers and found no girl but 8 cars at the bottom of one!!  :smilielol:
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Same here.  It was sandstone quarries where I grew up.  One was particualrly deep.  It was a long way to the water and then a long way to the bottom.   Somebody sent a white car over which remained visable because,,,,, it was resting on a pretty large stack of cars.   I have no idea why, but they started pulling them up.  They got to the early sixties before the sarted breaking up.  The whole thing seemed to facinate law enforcement  and the media, but, nobody else.   :shruggy:

No, I'm not a numbers guy. Besides, I've scrapped cars that were way nicer.
