Driving home from a car show last weekend i passed a Delorean all dressed up as the BTTF car on 494.  I quickly said to my spouse LOOK LOOK!  Its a Delorean!  :o   She said, what?  Oh... whatever..... :eyes:

Oh, good one. They got me.

Well, I'm not too worried about checking "facts" on trivial BS. I remember once a coworker wanted to argue with me about Middle Earth from the LOTR series, saying it happened on some other planet. I said no, it's just an alternate history fiction that takes place in the Middle Ages on Earth. Like many times before, he got mad and kept wanting to argue so like many times before I just shook my head and walked away. I'll argue when I think I'm right about something real and tangible or meaningful but this guy is a professional arguer. He takes it to a new level I'm not willing to visit.

Anybody else here old enough to remember the original "Time Machine" movie?  If I remember correctly (not likely), we were supposed to have our flying cars in the 1980's......

Yep I do, I think it was Rod Stieger {spelling} (correction it's actually Rod Taylor) as the lead star, the 50's movie with the "big spinning wheel, behind the guy sitting on an ornate patten leather chair & a bunch of levers & blinking incandescent light bulbs", the special effects, have come a long ways in the movies, from then...

You're talking about the one with the lovely Yvette Mimieux and Rod Taylor in it right? I remember it well. It comes on TV once a year. Like it heaps better than any of the current remakes. It's kind of mesmerising. I'm always drawn to watching it.

If she is shes 80 or older.... I had the star wrong, I thought it was Rod Stieger But it was actually Rod Taylor, the guy from the movie "the Birds", I remember the actress but didn't have a clue of her name...
