Some of you may remember this car as I owned and built this car about three years ago.  The car looks the same it did as the day I sold it.  In fact, I am fairly sure the oil has not even been changed as it still has the same oil filter on it.

Yesterday ,I looked at my phone to find I had several missed calls.  So I call my buddy back, and he told me my old, white Charger is on Daytons Craigslist.  I looked, and sure enough, it was, listed for only about an hour or so.  My buddy said he was already half way down there and if I wanted it back he would buy it and I could just write him a check when he gets back.  I told him if the car looked the same, pick it up.  He looked the car over, paid the owner and left with the title.  This morning we drove down and picked her up.  My Bee will be years I am guessing before it is finished, so this will be nice to cruise around in until she is done.

I really was not planning on buying this, but I could not pass it up.

Pretty long odds owning it again, well done. And , as only you know what went into building it, then it must've been worthwhile chasing it to own again without trying to sort through the usual EB/CL bondo disasters

Did you have an earlier thread on the build?

Here you go.

The car was not bad when I bought it a few years back.  It is a real SE, 40,000 original mile California car. I purchased it off E-Bay from the original owner in El Centro California. A very solid car with good paint.  I did some interior work, as it was faded, a lot of engine compartment work, exhaust, some suspension and brake work and of coarse wheels and tires. The car is as solid as you will find and a real nice driving car.

I must say how lucky I am to have a wife that did not even question me when I talked with her about buying the car back.  Most wifes do not just hand over the check book like she did.  :2thumbs:

Yes, same guy.  I believe he may be a member here.  When I listed the car on Craigslist for sale, he had mentioned he had also seen pictures of it on here.  He does not know I am the one who bought it back.  My friend went down by himself to look and pay for the car, and when we went to pick it up he was not there.

Congrats on the score! Thats really great to hear you got your car back and it is still in great shape. Here's the question everyone wants to ask but hasn't yet... Did you pay more or less than what you sold it for?
