How do I unsubscribe from a thread?  Lets say I've posted to it in the past but I'm no longer interested in it.

Open up the thread. On the top left of the OP post is a tab that says "Notify". Click on this tab. A box will open up and ask if you would like to disable notification of any new replies. Click OK and that should do it for ya.

Edit: tabs are on top right. Guess I don't know my right from my left.  :shruggy:

thanks I'll check that out.  I'll assume that you can subscribe to a thread in a similar fashion?  that way I wouldn't have to make a useless post in order to get notifications?

Troy

Yes, you can subscribe that way. If you want a bit more control over removing threads you can look in your profile under "Notifications and Email" to see all that you are subscribed to. Check the box next to the ones you want to remove and then click "Unsubscribe".

Okay I just tried that.  I don't see all the threads there that I had responded in.  How do I stop getting notifications for a thread I responded in but am no longer interested in?

Troy

You shouldn't be getting notifications from a topic just because you responded. If so, my email would be overflowing! You can change that setting in your profile but I can see that it's turned off. Do you have an example of a thread that you are receiving notifications for that you aren't subscribed to?

It's a thread(s) that I posted in, and I don't want to hear from it anymore.
