MOPARHOUND!

Can this be done?  What parts interchange?

A guy has offered me two rebuildable cores from 3/4 ton and 1 ton Dodge Trucks.  Said to have 4 pinion planetaries.

Thanks,

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

all internal parts are the same with the exeption of the main shaft & tailhousing

Can I use a long tail housing on the small block 727 from a big block 727?  Interchange?

Many truck 727's are identical externally with the passenger car, only the short tail models are different and the mainshaft and tailhousings can be swapped.

In some years, trucks with the long tail lack the cast bosses on the bottom of the tailhousing that mount the floor shift bracket.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
