i might have put cart before horse...I put tank in before fuel neck dosent seem that it will go in do i need to drop tank back out then put neck in then the tank or is there a way to fish the neck in with tank in first thanks  tom  1969 charger  again thanks for input

You should be able just lower it down to the last threads on the J-bolts and then snake it in from the trunk. I could be wrong though, I put longer j-bolts on mine.

I had to put the neck in first. Put a bit of lube on the gasket so it will slide on easier.  :Twocents:

I just did one last week on my 70 Charger.  You have to get the tank in first. Unsrew the rubber boot in the trunk, and unsrew the fuel cap and lid and then insert fuel tube.  I used alittle bit of oil on my donut to help the tube slide into the gas tank better.

one more question  does my trunk liner/mat...  neck or mat first or is there a slit in mat which comes first  thanks  tom 69 charger
