My blower motor keeps blowing fuses and I was going to try to restore myself. Any tips on what i shoud do first? :shruggy:

You would want to determine if the problem is electrical or mechanical.  The bearings could be siezed up.  I was thinking you could take those motors apart.  If so, you could start from there.  Don't these motors use a set of brushes?  If so, then they could be bad.  O/W, the coil could be shorted.

The fan spins freely but I noticed that the speed of fan was not as high before the fuses kept blowing.
