Since I've got a substantial amount tied up in my 70 project I'd like to get fire/theft on it until its finished. Hope to have it in paint this summer. I thought about waiting till it is finished, but i have the worst of luck. You just never know.

Any places out there that will insure a car that isn't registered/plated for the road yet ?

Check with your insurance guy and see if it could be covered under your home owners policy while its in the garage and under construction.

Wow and i even searched insurance and found plenty on done cars.

I know we have Haggerty up here in Canada. I will check with them.

I am changing my policy from agreed value to builders insurance thru hagerty while my build is on going.

Chryco Psycho

Competition insurance through Aviva will cover it as well

I should have said more specifically in quebec. Very often lots of things are available to all of canada except the belle province.  ::)

Surprise

Haggerty writes insurance for all provinces EXCEPT for Quebec. Arghh
Its like its own little world here.

I sent an application into one of haggerty's affiliates. After submitting looks like you have to have an evaluation  :brickwall: the exact thing i'm looking to avoid as the valve will change month to month.

See what they come back with.

I with Silver Wheels, i think they are based out of Quebec.

I  have not heard back yet.

Say did you have to submit an evaluation ? I wanted to go with haggerty as they set up an agreed upon value. With a project car having it evaluated is almost worthless as the price goes up all the time with work being completed.

They require an appraisal, but they told me if i did any upgrades keep receipt's and take pics and they would adjust the value accordingly.
