Here's how my 70 Charger's body repair expense budget has broken down:
I started last in July of last year with a fund of 800.00 saved to start working on the car. Figuring I could add 100.00 per month as I progressed.
Cheap sander and paper                                                  45.00
My computer crashed                                                    460.00
Ticket for no seatbelt on                                                135.00
Ticket for speeding                                                        256.00
School to save points                                                      40.00
Primer                                                                           98.00
More sand paper                                                             25.00
My son needed a computer                                              460.00
My daughter needed stuff                                                410.00
Epoxy primer to replace the wrong primer I got the first time. 142.00
Unexpected income tax owed                                            560.00
Supplies from Pivco.                                                        165.00
Rage Gold, Evercoat OEM putty and more stuff.                    123.00
Cheap spray guns from Harbor Freight.                                  45.00
Drill broke, replace it.                                                         30.00
My daughter needed more stuff.                                         120.00
My son needed some help.                                                  68.00
Reinforcement plates for door handles and mirror                     72.00
Total so far:                                                                 3,254.00
So I've spent 580.00 of what would have been 1600.00 buy now, my kids are great they have emergency needs that tend to come up just as I get the money saved for the car, my daughter, (bless her heart) seems to have terrible timing needing help just AFTER I've spent money.
OH Crap my daughter is calling I gotta go!

jaak

I hear ya, that's life, buddy... always something unexpected around the corner.
Just keep at it, you will get there  :2thumbs:
